The Invoice app will use Starcounter in-memory platform as the database and application server and a logicless web client.

As the software stacks get richer and richer, the pinnacle of modern app development involves increasing amount of glue code. Starcounter allows zero-glue code app development with simple work flow thanks to:

  • no C# glue code between the database and the app logic
  • no C# glue code between the app logic and the request handler
  • no REST API between the server and the client
  • no JavaScript glue code between the response handler and the client state
  • no JavaScript glue code between the client state and HTML
  • actually no JavaScript at all

What you are left with is:

  • HTML view template, enhanced by Web Components
  • JSON view-model automatically shared between the server and the client
  • C# code executed in the database

Feel free to join and ask questions in this interactive session.

Technologies: C#, Starcounter, JSON, HTML, Polymer, Web Components
